LEADERSHIP
Church leaders exist to equip and empower God’s people for their life of ministry.
“Christianity does not have a priesthood, it is a priesthood.”
The job of Church leaders is not to hog all the ministry for themselves. We believe God wants His Church to be a place where we dignify, support, celebrate, resource, and commission people into the full-time ministry of their everyday lives, with Him. God’s calling, purpose, power, and presence fill every heart, every home, every day. And so while the primary ‘ministry’ done by the Church is actually our whole life of faith, lived with Jesus and one another, in and for His world — we do have a few people whose calling and training involves a special emphasis on serving God’s people as shepherds and leaders.

Church Council
Our Church Council is the governing board of Bethany. It’s a group that represents the whole church — clergy and laity, women and men — coming together in conciliar, collaborative leadership on behalf of the congregation. Church Council’s primary role is to steward Bethany’s resources (finances, personnel, etc.) to support our vision and values, for the good of the church. The Council is made up of a group of lay leaders, plus the lead pastor (rector).
Our Bishop
Bethany exists under the care and guidance of Bishop Ken Ross who presides over the Anglican Diocese of the Rocky Mountains.
